International Women's Day March 8th, 2011 marks the 100th Intenational Women's Day, a global day celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future.
2011 Theme: So while many people may think there is one global theme each year, this is not always correct. It is completely up to each country and group as to what appropriate theme they select.
Thousands of events are held throughout the world on this day to inspire women and celebrate achievements by means of a global web of activity that connects women from all around the world through political rallies, business conferences, government activities and networking events through to local women's craft markets, theatric performances, fashion parades and more.
